Performing at Renaissance festivals has been both a blessing, and in some cases a strenuous test of our commitment. Primative conditions, no sound system, musicians (and instruments) roasting in the Texas sun, and lack of video game facilities make breaking out the lute and tights seem like a bit of a chore on occasion. And yet there are those incredibly rare experiences when it all seems to come together, music and theater walking hand in hand with evangelism. And during these perfect moments, it almost seems for the fleeting span of a few breaths, to be worthwhile. |
